Logo & Branding Options

From laser engraving to foil stamping — compare branding methods for your custom wooden products.

Silk Screen Printing

Ink is pressed through a fine mesh screen onto the wood surface, producing sharp, opaque graphics in 1–3 colors. It works well for bold logos, simple illustrations, and text on flat surfaces. Setup costs are amortized over the production run, so unit cost drops as quantity increases. Ideal for clean, high-contrast branding on smooth wood surfaces or painted finishes.

Best for: Bold logos in 1–3 colors, flat surfaces, large production runs
Cost: Economical for bulk orders

Laser Engraving

A laser burns your logo directly into the wood surface, creating a permanent, tactile mark. The engraved area darkens naturally and will not fade, peel, or rub off over time. Precision is high — fine text, intricate logos, and small details all reproduce cleanly. Laser engraving works on almost every wood species and does not require consumables like ink or foil, making it cost-effective at any order size.

Best for: Logos with fine detail, text-heavy designs, permanent branding on any wood type
Cost: Cost-effective, no setup fees for simple designs

Hot Branding

A heated metal die is pressed directly into the wood surface, leaving a darkened, debossed mark. Unlike foil stamping, no foil or ink is used — the wood itself darkens from the heat. The result is a subtle, permanent brand that feels integrated into the material rather than applied on top of it. Works best on lighter woods where the contrast is most visible.

Best for: Rustic, understated branding, natural wood aesthetics, eco-conscious brands
Cost: Moderate, die cost applies

Foil Stamping

A heated die presses metallic or colored foil onto the wood surface under pressure. The result is a glossy, reflective finish that reads as premium — gold, silver, rose gold, copper, and colored foils are all available. Foil stamping pairs especially well with dark wood surfaces like walnut or stained pine, where the metallic contrast is most striking.

Best for: Gold/silver logos, luxury packaging, wine boxes, high-end gift boxes
Cost: Moderate, die cost applies

UV Printing

UV-cured ink is printed directly onto the wood surface in full color, including gradients, photographs, and complex artwork. Unlike silk screen, UV printing has no color limit and no separate setup per color. The ink cures instantly under UV light, producing a durable, scratch-resistant finish. Best results are on smooth, lighter-toned woods or painted MDF surfaces.

Best for: Full-color logos, photographic designs, gradient artwork, detailed branding
Cost: Higher setup cost, competitive at volume
